There are many ways you can score fantastic deals at Target. You just have to know what to look for and how it works! Here are some tips that will have you saving in no time!
The Basics
The first thing to consider is what type of store your Target is. Target has a basic store, which may even have some groceries, and they have Super Targets which will have a full-sized grocery store. You may find prices vary from store to store and they will vary by region.
Get started by signing up for the Target app on your phone and Target cartwheel. Target offers awesome deals via cartwheel. The really nice part? These can be stacked with manufacturer coupons and with Target coupons. Here is an example of what you can do:
- Suave shampoo is on sale for $2
- Use $1/1 mfr coupon.
- Use your Cartwheel has a 50% of one deal
- Use your text coupon from Target for $5/$15 beauty purchase.
- This would make this a freebie when combined with other things to meet the $15 beauty purchase requirement
Plus if you use the Target Redcard to pay for your purchase you save 5%. You can get it as a debit card, it doesn’t have to be the credit card.
Coupons
Target does limit you to 4 like coupons at a time. But you can use things together like – Buy 1 get 1 Free Tresemme & $2/1 Tresemme. One will attach to the free item and one will attach to the 2nd item. You no longer will get overage in your cart if your coupon is more than the product. The system now catches those.
If you are using a coupon like a Get $5/$15 meat coupon and manufacturer’s or Target coupons be sure and hand in the $5/$15 first or it won’t register and will be rejected.
Gift Card Deals Mean Big Scores!
Target gets awesome gift card deals – like buy 4 Pantene products get a $5 gift card. And you can stack your coupons and rebate deals on top of those. Use your gift card to pay for your next deal!
Check Out The Rebate Apps
Not only can you score some awesome deals when you stack the above but throw in a few good Checkout51, Ibotta or other rebate app deals and you can even earn money! That’s like icing on the cake.

More Ways To Win
Check the labels on things but don’t buy what you don’t need. Don’t let the labels fool you. If it says 2/$4.00 you don’t have to buy two to get the deal. You only need to buy one – it will ring up at $2. Look for price cuts too. If they say temporary that means in 2 weeks they will go back up so take advantage of those right away!
Don’t miss out on great text deals. Text COUPONS, OFFERS or BABY to 827438 to receive mobile coupons every Saturday, or you can sign up by clicking here and get them automatically. If you need to connect in-store Target offers free wi-fi that allows you to get online.
Price Matching & Rain Checks
You can price match at Target. They will even price match Amazon. You can use manufacturer coupons with a price match but you can’t use Target coupons or cartwheel offers. Out of what you want? Get a rain check! Most stores give them but there are a few that don’t so be prepared for a possible no.
