Easy 4-ingredient Nutella Cake Balls
Serves: 16 balls
Prep Time: 1 hour start to finish
Ingredients
- 8 oz thawed pound cake, cut into cubes (I prefer the frozen Sara Lee pound cakes, but you could also use another brand.)
- ⅓ cup Nutella
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
- 5 ounces candy melts or almond bark
Directions
Line a small pan with parchment paper.
In your food processor, add cake, Nutella, and butter. (Here’s the food processor I use. Very easy to clean and it gets the dough very smooth!)
Pulse until all ingredients are uniformly mixed.
Use a tablespoon cookie dough scoop to portion out the dough. You can coat the scoop with butter to help keep the dough from sticking.
Roll gently in your hands to smooth the edges. Makes 16 balls.
Place the balls in the freezer or refrigerator for 20 minutes. This will harden the balls a little so they don’t fall apart in the next step.
Heat the candy melts according to package directions.
Remove the balls from the freezer, and coat each ball with a light coating of candy.
I use forks to roll the balls in the coating and to then let the extra candy drip off.
Place coated balls on parchment paper and sprinkle with your favorite decoration. (These are the pearls I used in the picture.)
The candy will harden as it cools.
Cover and refrigerate any leftovers.
ENJOY!
